RESEARCH & POLICY ADVICE
Aanya has conducted research with multiple international organisations, including the OECD, where she advised ministries of education on their national-level policies relating to the evaluation and assessment of students, teachers and schools.
Her career in research began much earlier on. As an undergraduate, she authored two dissertations on the politics of education in Pakistan (published as a book, Education on the Horizon, 2010) and on female participation in national economic development. During her Master’s, she conducted a qualitative study, exploring the role of mother’s in children's academic achievement in low-cost private schools in Pakistan (due for publication).
